Active Directory 개요 Directory란 일종의 저장 용기(container)로서, 여기에는 사용자에 관한 데이터, 프린터, 서버, 데이터베이스, 그룹, 컴퓨터, 보안 정책등과 같은 object가 들어 있다. 예를 들면 전화번호부를 directory라고 부르는 이유는 그 전화번호부 안에 각 전화 이용자의 이름이나 회사의 전화번호부와 주소가 있기 때문이다.
